R.I.P. Vidal

I am sad to report that my Alpha Phi Omega, Mu Alpha Chapter Brother Vidal Perez-Galan was murdered in the Bronx, NY this weekend. He was a teacher at a high school there. He was found dead in his apartment with two gunshot wounds.

Vidal was one of the coolest Brothers I could have ever pledged to. Please keep Mu Alpha Chapter and all of Vidal's family and friends in your prayers.

R.I.P. Brother

My name is Jaime and I have lived with Vidal for more than the past year. I am pleased to have found this to see his name and know that he will always exist in the hearts of others. I will forever be grateful for all he has taught me and I am blessed to have known him. Vidal my love to you always, you will not be forgotten and I will not rest until I am sure you are...

i was a high school friend as well, and i will always miss Vidal. Not at all suprising to find out the good things he was up to in the years since we last met, and I'm lucky to have many fond memories of his time in Houston and DC.

I was trying to track vidal down for my wedding invitations list. I hadn't really spoken to him since my graduation, and am using this event as an excuse to finally contact all those people I'd meant to for the past 6 years. I really, really wish I'd looked sooner. I love you Igor, i will miss our all-night study sessions and the way you'd chew your toenails when you were nervous.
