Mr. Darden: Cool Sub

schoolpic01.jpg

I took this pic one day when I subbed for the sixth grade class I like. It happened to be class picture day, but they also took individual pictures of all the students and teachers.

Not bad, eh?

I wish I had had a teacher like Mr. Darden when I was of pubescent age in school to rock my little world! (LOL) Rashid, nowadays, when you share photos of yourself with us, I always feel the loss, frustration and sadness as though I am being invited into a petting zoo, but being told NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING! (LOL) Seriously, though, you don't take ANY bad photos, dude. (wink)

Next to my postcard of Lazarus, and the picture from the Toast to Lazarus is this picture of you. I have received many comments of about your photo at work. The most popular one "Who is that? He looks like the guy on American Idol." My silent response is "he's a writer getting rich bitch!"

You look like you're shy. You're kinda hugging yourself, like you said "Ok, Mr. Photoman...I-I guess I'll let you take my picture...just this once..."

Wait...that sounds kinda nasty lol.

Great pix frat. Hard to believe you could still manage a smile while being surrounded by a class of elementary kids. You must have taken the pic early in the morning before the day got into full swing. I taught high school kids for 6 years. Seniors are best. They are the most serious when they know you stand between them and graduation (and freedom from their parents). Get'em by the balls and their hearts and minds will follow (LOL). '06

Yo Rashid,
This picture reminds me of one of my homeboys who was subbing in an elementary school while waiting to open his new business. We were rapping one day during my lunch hour when he had a 2nd grade PE class. He had to keep interrupting our conversation to yell at the kids. I was ROTF. Teachers and subs are war heroes, too. I salute you all. Been there, done that, got my tee shirt!
