What's on TV?

As things have settled down from my EXTENSIVE and EXHAUSTING interview process for the job I recently got, I've been able to watch a little more TV without falling asleep.

Let's start with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. It seems like nobody in my daily life watches this! And it just so happens that this past week's episode was fuckin' awesome. My only complaint was that Lou Diamond Phillips could have been given a meatier role. I really didn't feel like the character was important enough to be given to an actor like LDP. But hey, I guess that was draw for the bigger story, which I believe is that Detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler have slowly been falling in love.

I know... I know...nothing like that was explicitly stated. But rather than give away what happened in the show (which was really amazing) I will just ask that you look at the ACTING in conjunction with the words that were said.

Lost was good the past few weeks, as well. One thing that bothers me with network shows is that they are frequently interrupted by sports, news, or other bullshit that I don't care about. So Lost would be back one week, then gone the next. How amazing would it be if our shows came on for 22 weeks in a row?

Anyway, I can't really describe what's been going on with Lost because, well, I don't know. LOL. It's just that weird and complicated. But I will say that Jin is a fuckin' hottie, as is Mr. Eko, but we already knew that from when he was Adebisi.

I am hoping that some of the major issues in Lost are resolved soon, though -- where's Walt?!?!?!

I have been watching Saturday Night Live, and it's been pretty funny. Mad TV has jumped the shark, HOWEVA, I watch it just for this man:

Keegan-Michael Key. Not only is he hot (and by now, you know how much I appreciate a hottie) but he is funny as hell. One of my favorite characters of his is the "Broke THAT Hex" guy. It involves steppin'..... long story.

I haven't been watching America's Next Top Model.... it's too soon. Nor have I been watching The Real World. Totally turned off by the first episode of the new season -- haven't we beaten this dead horse to a pulp? I haven't enjoyed an episode of Days of Our Lives in months.

Oh yeah.... the recent episodes of ER have been pretty good. And yes, I like new ER better than old ER. Hands down.

I am probably most entertained by my DVDs and reruns of Special Victims Unit.

Anyway...happy viewing!

Go tot he tv forum at dvdtalk.com to catch up on Lost. NYC doesn't interrupt Lost at all.
The Stabler Olivia thing is interesting. But where can it lead? Do we want this becoming a soap opera. 24 and Alias did the 22 episodes in a row thing by starting in January. I like how USA breaks up Monk into mini seasons.
